TofuKitty Benefits

CO2 Reducing

It’s better for the environment! My plant-based litter naturally locks away CO2 from the atmosphere, so it reduces greenhouse gasses.

Earth-Friendly

Since it's made from recycled materials, you can feel good about your purchase. You've helped protect our Earth’s natural resources. One small step, but with a big impact.

Dust Free

No mess, low maintenance. Unique pellet shape is dust-free, clumps instantly (and naturally), and reduces tracking.

Safer

Worry-free. Made with food-grade ingredients so it’s completely safe for you and your cat (even if it’s eaten).

Plant-Based

Litter is made entirely of reclaimed food-grade, plant-based ingredients.

Auto Delivery

I send a one month supply of TofuKitty to your door each month; shipping's free!

vs

Other All-Natural Litters

Light-weight and portable

4x lighter than traditional litters. You only need 10lbs of Tofu Kitty to replace 36lbs of traditional litters and 15 lbs of most grain litters.

Still overly heavy

Almost as heavy as clay litters, dusty, and even more difficult to store!

Worry-free

Made with food-grade ingredients. Safe for you and your cat (even if it’s eaten).

A risky choice

Since corn and wheat are raw, it may encourage unintended eating by your pet, or pests & rodents. Ew!

Bye bye odors

3x more absorbent, virtually 100% ammonia neutralization, and up to 10x better at controlling odors.

Say hi to ammonia

Grain-based litters offer moderate odor control and little to no ammonia control.

Hello, low-waste lifestyle

Biodegradable, compostable & flushable, which prevents it from being a burden on the environment.

Additional steps & time

They´re made from renewable materials and are biodegradable, yay! However, to safely flush it down the toilet, it requires more steps and time.

Safe for all

Absolutely no harmful chemicals or clumping agents added.

Not safe at all

Wheat and corn litters have the highest risk of aflatoxin contamination, a cancer-causing, often deadly mold.

How to Transition Your Cat to TofuKitty

Cats are creatures of habit and litter transition can be stressful for them. Use this transition guide to ease them into my litter, so life will be good for you and your feline!

Step 1

Layer ¼ of TofuKitty litter on the bottom of your litter box. Cover with ¾ of your cat’s old litter. No need to mix the contents, your kitty will naturally do that when he or she uses the box.

Step 2

On the next litter box change, use ½ TofuKitty litter and cover with ½ of your cat’s old litter. Repeat this process a few more times, adding less of the old litter and more of TofuKitty litter to the box every time.

Step 3

When you feel that your kitty is ready to accept TofuKitty litter, remove the old litter completely. Transition usually takes anywhere from 3-4 weeks, depending on how finicky your cat is!

How to Use TofuKitty

TofuKitty litter is new and different than traditional litters, so here are some helpful pointers to make sure you get the most out of it.

Step 2 - Store

Store the remaining litter in a dry, well-ventilated area. Unlike other all-natural, grain litters you won’t have to worry about keeping the remaining TofuKitty litter in an airtight or sealed container to keep out bugs and other pests. My litter isn’t ‘raw’ so bugs, rodents, pests, or even other pets won’t recognize it as food. No worries!

Step 3 - Clean

Clean the litter box at least once per day (as you normally do). Remove the clumps and place in the green bin, your compost bin or, flush it down the toilet. The litter disintegrates into powder when fully submerged in water, making it mess-free and easy to dispose!

Step 4 - Refill

Refill your litter box as it starts to run low. 1 bag of TofuKitty litter will last you one full month!

Step 1 - Pour

Make sure to use 1 bag of TofuKitty litter for 1 average size (12”x16”) litter box. If your litter box is larger than this, you may want to consider using two bags of TofuKitty. Simply fill the litter box to a depth of 2”-3”. No need for any additional perfumes or deodorizers. My litter offers max odor control without it!

Step 5 - Replace

At the end of the full month, I always recommend thoroughly cleaning your litter box, then replace with your brand new bag of TofuKitty litter!

Proper Litter Box Maintenance

Following a regular litter box cleaning schedule will help you extend the life of your litter and keep kitty (and your nose) happy!

Daily Cleaning Tasks

Scoop out clumps

At least

Once

Per day

Twice per day would be ideal. Once in the morning and once in the evening.

With TofuKitty you can simply take the clumps right to the toilet,

Flush and done

Don't forget to refill the litter box to maintain that 2" - 3" of litter so kitty can easily dig and cover their waste.

Tip: Make sure to not overfill the litter box, as it will just end up getting kicked out of the box.

Weekly Cleaning Tasks

If you feel like the litter box is getting a bit musty or stale,

deodorize

your cat’s litter box by sprinkling a tablespoon or two of

Baking

Soda

or activated charcoal before adding in additional litter.

This can help the longevity of your litter and keep your

litter box fresh

until you clean it again

Monthly Cleaning Tasks

Every month, I suggest that you completely empty, clean the litter box, and replace the litter.

Step 1.

Dump the remaining litter that’s in the box.

Step 2.

Using a mild and unscented detergent, scrub the box thoroughly. I also add in some white vinegar or baking soda to effectively kill all harmful microbes lurking on the box.

Step 3.

Rinse with warm water and dry with a towel. If you can, let the box dry a bit extra in the sun to get the moisture out of the scratches (if you use a plastic box).

Step 4.

Refill the box with your new bag of TofuKitty litter.

The right choice, for your kitty and the earth.
